Meet Our Team

The Collentro Family

Nicholas and Valerie embarked on a bold journey in 2016 when they moved to Maryland to establish their landscape company and horticultural center. With a shared passion for nature and a commitment to excellence, they poured their energy into building a thriving business from the ground up. Over the years, their dedication has paid off immensely, as they continue to surpass their goals and expand their reach each year. Their expertise, creativity, and unwavering work ethic have earned them a stellar reputation, making their company a cornerstone in the community. Through innovation and perseverance, they’ve transformed their vision into a flourishing enterprise, proving that hard work and a love for what you do can lead to remarkable success.

Their daughter, Cheyenne, has been an integral part of their success, growing alongside the business and embracing the family’s love for nature. Even at a young age, she is already embracing her leadership role, confidently taking charge as the mini boss of the company. She has a eye for innovation and understands the vision her parents set in motion, making her more than ready to take over when the time comes. With her enthusiasm and dedication, she is poised to continue the Collentro Family’s legacy, ensuring that their businesses will thrive for generations to come.

Mercedes Forrest

Mercedes has been a dedicated member of the Collentro team since 2023, stepping into the manager role in 2024. With a passion for horticulture and strong leadership skills, she has played a key role in driving the company forward. Her favorite plant, the Coral Drift Rose, reflects her appreciation for vibrant and resilient beauty. Outside of work, she enjoys the thrill of driving her Jeep and cherishes her time spent playing with her dogs. Her commitment and expertise continue to make a meaningful impact, ensuring the Collentro family’s vision thrives.

Servando

Servando, our dedicated farm manager, is the backbone of our operation, ensuring that every plant is meticulously cared for and that the entire farm remains clean, organized, and safe. His expertise and unwavering commitment make all the difference, as he diligently oversees everything from soil health to irrigation, guaranteeing that our plants thrive under the best conditions. Beyond his technical skills, Servando’s presence is invaluable—his hard work and passion have made him a true staple here. Without his dedication, we would be missing out on the beauty and success that his care brings to our farm each and every day

Alexis

Alexis has been a part of the Nursery/Plant Sales industry since she was a teenager. She began working as a cashier and greenhouse associate under the direction of her Dad. Over the last 13 years, Alexis worked her way up to managing a few popular nurseries in Southern Maryland. With experience in both wholesale and retail operations, she brings a deep understanding of plant care, customer support, and passion for plants. At home, Alexis tends to her collection of 50+ houseplants. She looks forward to building and growing our new location in Prince Frederick and seeing familiar faces of beloved customers in Calvert County and beyond!
