HYDRANGEA

Do you ever wonder which varieties fair in full sun? Which ones are geared for shade?

We’re here to help you choose the right type for your unique landscape.

Hydrangea paniculata…..FULL SUN Hydrangeas with stunning cone shaped blooms sure to WOW your guests

Pink, Purple or Blue,….. Hydrangea macrophylla are for you! These varieties are meant to be in partial to full shade areas. If you plant in full sun, the blooms will still look lovely, but you will usually end up with black burn spots on the foliage when Summer comes around.

Plant Natives

From housing and feeding many bird species, attracting butterflies & even repelling mosquitoes….planting native has many benefits to our yards and our ecosystem. Native plants provide different seasonal interests and habitats..

Trendy or Traditional?

Azaleas are all the rage!

Traditional Azaleas bloom only once a year in the Spring. They hold on to their foliage better in colder winters like a true evergreen which is adventageous over re-blooming varieties.

Reblooming Azaleas by Encore or Proven winners give you more blooms for your buck! 2-3 times a year you can enjoy the stunning flowers as an accent to your home landscaping. They are not true evergreens so they will be pretty bare in the winter if there are low temperatures in the winter. The farther south you go, the more leaves they keep!

“I got a Blueberry for a Daughter”

We have self-pollinating and varieties that need to be pollinated. Check out the info below before “Willy” nilly picking out a blueberry!

Powder Blue, Premier, Tifblue and Patriot all need a pollinator….but GUESS WHAT?! They all pollinate each other!! But you need two different varieties for pollination!

Peach Sorbet, Jelly Bean, Pink Icing, and Blueberry Glaze are all self pollinating. While you only need one, two is still better for the best results.
